1. Rao Saheb Shri. K.V. Ramachary, B.A., is the first graduate of Sourashtra community. He was the first person from Sourashtra community to be elected as Chairman, Madurai Municipal Corporation in the year 1910. He brought electricity to Madurai and the first electric lamp in Madurai lit in his house at South Masi Street, Madurai. |
